Looks like I'll be going again! My IN is thru my drummer in GODBROTHERS.
He says I've got a pass! So hopefully I won't be busy moving like I was last time.
I will soon have a warehouse space to build a new studio in....

My friends HumanLab will be performing at the Martin booth on Sat. & Michael hopes they'll give him a Martin to play & hopefully he'll get to keep it.
His Fender acoustic is 20 years old & looks almost like Willie Nelson's! Hole-y!

Hope to see some of you there! Jan. 14 - 17

If rumors are true, then there won't be righthand bass pics either.

What rumor is that?

The rumor I heard from a shopowner with good relations to Nashville (he goes there a couple of times a year) was that Gibson will skip participation in Winter NAMM due to their current financial dire straits and that there would be a press statement about it. Which sounds hard to believe, but that is what he heard from a Gibson marketing guy. Maybe just a cost cutting contrmplation along the lines of 'let's take nothing as sacred". Of course, a company such as Gibson doesn't really need NAMM as an advertising platform, so you could think like that. But image-wise it would be a disaster.

They are certainly not quick on delieveries currently, still waiting for my Ripper II!

I found it hard to believe too.

If you go to NAMM Show 2010, click on Interactive Floorplan and then search or browse the Exhibitor List, you'll find that Gibson is listed with three exhibit areas. That doesn't prove they will actually be there but it does look like it. We'll know soon enough.

I do believe they're in financial trouble though, based on Moody's evaluation.

Won't break my heart if they don't show .... the are snobs and only let their dealers in the booth anyhow.

I am looking forward to getting out of the rain and soaking up a little So Cal sunshine!!

John! Good to see you here. I'm just checking out your new (to me) site now. I was wondering what you were up to just two days ago!

Gibson won't be there.

You have some inside information?

They're still shown in the NAMM Exhibitors list. Of course that only proves they reserved booth spaces many months ago.
