Nocturnal

A huge thank you to Dave & Uwe for giving us this forum that I call home. I check in several times a day just looking for something new. The people here are great and an incredible source for knowledge in a lot of areas. I've been lucky enough to meet two of the members in person and they were both great guys (Mark wasn't in uniform so I'll refer to him as a guy in this case ;)). I've had many opportunities to get together with Joe (Chromium) and consider him a good friend and partner in crime. So thanks to everyone that contributes here and makes it such a great place to hang out! I hope we have many years ahead of us here at the Outpost!

Thanks Dave an Uwe!  Like others have said this is great place to hang and to decompress - like John said it's been a tough year and it's nice to have a place of refuge.

Yes, indeed, thank you Dave and Uwe for putting this forum together. I've enjoyed being here and virtually meeting everyone! Everyone has been a great help and a wealth of information to a relative newbie to the bass. Thanks!

Gentlemen through and through... thoroughly enjoy the company to be found here...

(Dave, Uwe... sorry about the pain you have both been suffering until recently, I managed to hide the Voodoo dolls my wife and daughter had been sticking pins in so you should be ok now...  ;D)

(Bret... gotta PM you about a bottle of Adelaide Red we were given at Christmas, just in case it is not "plonk"...  ;))

Uwe, Tony, George... your kindness goes above and beyond...

There is no-one I have met here I would not like to enjoy a few beers with, and many I'd enjoy seeing play live...  Cheers Ladies and Gents...

Hey, I want to throw my thanks in there too.  I don't really post a lot, but I read a lot here.  Like others have said, I love the low drama and high camaraderie.  I also love that so many of you have your steadfast opinions, but disagreements do not devolve into name calling or other mean spirited childishness.  This place is truly refreshing compared to most of the rest of the internet.

My thanks to Dave & Uwe also! This may be the only place a guy can admit to owning a Gibson 20/20 & still maintain a shred of dignity! After all of these years of collecting Gibson basses & thinking I was pretty much alone in my quest, it's nice to know how many other people around the globe share similar interests.
Happy New Year to everyone here, may you all prosper enough in the upcoming year, to be able to support the GAS syndrom that we all seem to have contracted.......... :toast:

Some things are so easily taken for granted, after a while. Like this place, which I very fast grew accustomed to. I'm glad we have this outpost! Thanks, to you all, from -20 Celsius in northern Sweden.

Brrrrrr.  -20 Celsius is a good reason to propose an akvavit toast to all.
