I like it. It's on clearance yet I don't remember seeing it in any stores.

MIK? At that list price I would think so. The several Korean Schecters I've played were all very well made, unfortunately they had active EMGs which is not my sound.

Looks like something Chaim Witz would play. I like it.

OldManC

Looks a little like a Punisher as well (which was also Gibson 'inspired'). With the pickup in that position, it could have some Stingray going on as well.

Edit: while I was typing I see that someone else noticed the Gene flavor.   ;)

I thought the same thing ! Looks like a Punisher without the $$$$$ signs. The see through cherry is sharp !  The build quality on the new Schecter's is pretty impressive for the $ I am tempted the MM style pup puts me off a little though.

I'd rather have any MM type pickup any day than the Punisher's EMG P/J setup.

The DV-4 is still shown on Schecter's site, I can't link directly to the product page because it's in flash. It's an EMG-HZ (passive) MM type with 2-band EMG active EQ.

I like it - just don't have $350 to spare at the moment...

Bet it sounds like a mahogany MM, not an EB-0.

Nocturnal

I've liked that bass since I first saw a picture of it. The Punisher came to mind immediatly when I saw it, and to be honest I'm suprised Gene hasn't tried to get some $$$ out of them. But then Gene isn't just about money, now is he?

I like it, its built for modding.

I bet a mudbucker on the neck would cure its clickitty-clangetty musicmanitis.

Neither of my MM basses are clicky or clangy in the least. Just because certain bozos crank the treble to 11 on their basses and amps and slap them silly doesn't mean the basses were designed to be used that way.

But don't you need to do that to play funk?

It is a cool design...
