New Boilersuit songs
« on: December 08, 2009, 03:11:03 AM »
Hi guys,

Boilersuit release a new EP with four brand new songs. You can hear them at www.myspace.com/boilersuit

The new songs are called:

- Hiding From The Sun
- Out Of The Woods
- Crash Course
- Where I Wanna Be

All recorded with '76 Thunderbird, Hiwatt DR201 + 4x10 and Rode NT1. Loes used her Guild acoustic, her Gibson LP junior and a '72 Tele Thinline reissue.

(Uwe: I'll send one and I promised some more CDs, which I didn't forget. Sorry for the delay!)

A pic of our wel received release party:

Congrats Chris.

Reminds me of Betty Serveert a lot. It never occurred to me Loes sounds like Carol van Dijk so much.

Can't really hear the bass here with the crappy computer speakers at work.

I see you're relying on the Ashdown again with the Selmer top just for looks?

Especially when we had the second guitar player, we were compared to Bettie Serveert a lot. And the strange thing of all was that we all four didn't really knew Bettie Serveert very well.

And then there's the coincidence of Bettie Serveert and Boiler Suit. Both BS....

But thanks guys!

Yeah, I had no room in my car for the 4x10, so I decided to take the little Ashdown with the Ashdown 2x10. Our 'own' sound engineer loves a low stage volume, I like the sound of the Ashdown, so we got it mic'd and I used the MXR Bass DI instead of the Ashdown DI-out.
The Selmer is a fixer upper which needs some new EL34s badly. It hasn't got any at the moment!

questions and warnings...

A) What's happening re your other "gig" and the possibility of dealz...?

B) Beware of the initials "BS" as they have other meanings in the "English speaking world..."  :o

Songs are shown as unavailable right now. Must be a temporary MySpace issue.

Dave: They don't work for me either... I'll check it.

Kenny: We are still talking to two big labels and two booker/managers. Excisting!

All good songs!

On Hiding From The Sun, I do hear the similarity between Loes and Carol, but I wouldn't mistake the two. And the bands have a different sound.

Does Herman Bunskoeke have weight issues?  ;)
