Kenny, you have great taste.  That's lovely!

You'ld have to have a heart of stone not to find this desireable...

I have had a fondness for Falcons for years... Stills and Young started it off...

This bass must have started life as either a 6070 (long scale, double cutaway, single pickup) or 6072 (long scale, double cutaway, two pickups) model. Both had painted-on fake f-holes. So real f-holes had to be cut in order for this bass to look like a Falcon.

I've seen another one last year on eBay, also a 60's 6070 model converted to look like a White Falcon bass. Probably by the same person.

I'm not sure I like what he's doing to vintage Gretches.

Yep, this isn't all original Gretsch.  They didn't make falcon basses in the 60's.  I have thought that someday I'd take an original busted up Country Gentleman or Ric hollow body guitar, rehab it and make it into a bass like this one.  Not authentic, sure nice!
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!
