Hmm... more tools for the shed... err... best not wander that path at the moment... I'm in enough deep brown stuff as it is... ;D

My wife says yes to most of my tool purchases because she knows they'll keep me out of trouble when I retire!

You know the old statement that one is to many, and a packet is just not enough...

A work buddy loaned me the first of the Battlestar Gallactica DVDs last week as I'd seen none of them - now I'm looking at getting the rest...

When I first heard Jessica I decided I wanted to get some stuff by that band, but I could not remember exactly what the the name of the song was, nor the exact name of the band... so off I toodle to the second hand shops a couple of days later and came home with all six (Stampede had just been released that week) of the Doobie Brother Band LP's, played them all, and was left scratching my head wondering why it wasn't on any of them... did play Clear As The Driven Snow  and I Cheat The Hangman to death, not to mention several others - Tiran Porter another wonderful EB player...

I enjoy food shopping... I usually cause the bill to increase by at least 50%

Now do you get the picture as to why my wife consders it unsafe to let me near shops... ;)

I like the way you think.  There's always room for a new tool.  I might put it out again and do the entire top.

Doc, most every major tool I have in my shop I got because I had to have it to complete a project!  Table was kitchen cabinets back in '94, the bandsaw was my daughter's bedroom furniture in '96, got a tasty mortiser for the hall settle in in '99 - you get the picture, right? ;)  Just last month I got a sweet little Ryobi thickness planer to complete the library!

We still don't have a jealousy emoticon...

Don't be jealous - once I get the tool I have to produce the promised item or it's next to impossible to get the next one

No different here, just there is nothing I can think of that would equate to essentials... (married to a book-keeper... :o)

I'm married to a speech therapist!  Their most memorable line is "That was good, now let's do it again!"  Repetition is the mark of their profession.  So, I just keep complying!  So far, she's happy!   8)

Remember this guy?  Well, I finally got around to cutting the control hole.  Genuine Hofner tuners are winging their way over from Germany and when they arrive, I'll drill those holes and the pup holes and start S&S.  Finally!!!!!!!!!  :P

Funny thing about this bass.  After gluing it all up, I noticed the bottom of the fret board looked a little warped.  When I looked at it seriously, I discovered there is a slight imperfection (hump) in the curve of the top, near the heel of the neck.  Oh well, it's nothing too drastic and I can't do anything about a laminate top anyway, so we'll make up for it when I mount the neck pup and adjust accordingly.

I can't remember now without a trawl back... was there a definitive decision (from SWMBO ;D) about the final choice of fin...?
