There should be some sort of *free clinic* for these kinds of things  ;)

Skate Rat, that sucks! I hope you can get it fixed quickly and be back in business soon.

How about health insurance for them!

BassAid or BassCare?

No, you really can't have that, you want to choose your own luthier, guys, and pay for him, not have some state socialist behemoth tell you where and if you can have your bass repaired!!! You want notices like this?

"Dear Comrade Bass Owner,

The Officer Council of the LCWAC (Luthier Collective Work Acceptance Committee) of the Vladimir Lenin 1st People-Owned Guitar Repair State Combine have reviewed your application from two years ago and found that current efforts to meet the five-year-instrument-repair-plan cannot afford the anti-collectivist sacrifice of a single instrument repair for solitary hedonist purposes. Your bass - or its remnants - will shortly be expropriated without compensation. You are further expected to report at a swamp-located CBTIF (Change for the Better Temporary Internment Facility) for solidarity training within short, details of which will be communicated in a separate notice including the appropriate AVI (Application for Voluntary Internment) forms currently unavailable due to general paper shortage. Please fill in the forms in BOLD TYPE.

The LCWAC will be in contact with you again after it has absolved its customarily spontaneous Fidel Castro Commemoration People's Parade which is about to begin.

Obamawards and upwards, we watch over you all!

The LCWAC"

That is a big bummer but that is part of the charm of being a Gibsonite. That is a pretty  easy repair and it will be stronger than before. Welcome to the club !

I have four or five repaired neck break Gibsons and old Epis. They all do fine service and the necks are stable.

Distractions like this sometimes mean something.  Devote some time to assessing the girl's kharma potential (+ or -).

Yup!

2 of my '76s were busted - much worse than that. I think they may actually sound better than the unbroken one  ;D
