The length of the NR BaCHbirds had me thinking that while looking for cases. Mine measures around 51" long, far longer than my other basse.
So I'm curious, what's the longest electric bass anyone here owns?

Uwe's Explorer would have to be up there, or maybe a long-scale V...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I think Aussie Mark had a 39" scale (not an upright) a few years back.

I know the old RD basses were pretty long.  And didn't Gretsch make the "John Holmes" model bass?

Highlander

Robert... my RD wouldn't "measure up" to that "scroll"...  :o

It's not about how long your instrument is.........it's all about how you use it :)

That Ampeg needs to come with the optional Sky Hook to hold up the neck while playing!

Al... you just can't get Sky-Hook's for love-nor-money these days...

Maybe that's why I seem to be inclining toward short-scale basses...

Highlander

You tend to incline more with a long scale, especially towards the neck...  ;)
