Found this yesterday after it was mentioned at one of my favorite blogs: http://www.faceinhole.com/home.asp

It's an easy way for Photoshop-challenged people to put their faces (or someone else's) on the body of someone famous.

With that in mind, I present the latest German pontiff, Pope Uwe I  ;D

And here I am, back when I was drumming with the boyzz. Stylin!  ;D

I always thought it odd that Frank Beard was the one guy in the band that didn't have a beard......

On ZZ Top: I think there was a message behind that, Mark, amen!

Of course, as a Catholic there is nothing higher to reach here on this lesser earth than the stool of the pontifex so I'm quite happy with the beginning of this thread!

I'm usually just happy when my girlfriend has me dress like a bad Catholic schoolgirl......  ;)

The nice Catholic schoolgirls were at least as much fun as the bad ones. Or at least I remember it that way.

I didn't drum for them either.

But given how much Frank Beard, a skilled and busy drummer by nature, dumbed down his playing on Eliminator to play alongside a drum machine/ape it you easily could have!!!

You could say the same for the bass as well.

uwe

True, but Dusty Hill was always a sparse player. Early to midperiod ZZ Top (Deguello) you have this unlikely, yet working combination of busy drums and sparse bass.

The Minimalist Bass Player's Oath: I solemnly swear to play the root, the whole root and nothing but the root, so help me Dusty Hill.
