I saw a girl with a Ramones short a year ago. I complimented her about it, but she didn't had a clue who the Ramones where... She just bought it at H&M. Nowadays I see a lot of girls with those shirts..

Man, I felt old when a girl asked me: 'You were there when Nirvana was hot. Tell me all about it!' It was like asking my parents about the Beatles.

My son, 15, likes Hendrix. The way he played guitar AND the way he dressed. "But you know, he was kind of sloppy, and it's all pentatonic too." Kids!!!

My kids have all liked Hendrix--matter of fact, one of them lost my Experience Hendrix compilation disk---'course no one will fess up to it...I always leave all of the disks sort of alphabatized in shoe boxes under the bed---counting home burned disks, there are a bunch of them---my oldest son discovered Miles Davis and Yes, and others have also helped themselves liberally to the collection---they know they are allowed to borrow whatever they want...I call them all back in once a year or so...of course, some go missing in the process--I consider it an educational expense.

Whether or not kids like Hendrix, my point was that he's not forgotten. Almost everyone knows who he was. Putting out a Hendrix branded guitar line is not going to acquaint kids with him.

this idea has about as much authenticity as a les paul guitar from fender.
Louder bass!.

Apparently you're Ritchie Blackmore's father, Uwe!

If only! My son thinks "Blackmore plays all these weird scales and now does castle maiden music", his role models are more Slash (of course), Doug Aldrich (the current Whitesnake guy), Joe Perry, Mick Mars, Zakk Wylde and this guy:

:-[

He'll grow out of it. Hendrix and Yngwie Malmsteen get some passing respect. He's got that rock star look down pat though:

With his sister (almost three years older than him, yet everybody thinks they are a couple which they both hate!):

He turned 15 in June, I think we fed him too much protein all these years ...

I'm struck by the resemblance to Gene Simmons' kids, Nick and Sophie - has his legal team contacted you for royalty payments yet? I'm sure you've infringed somewhere. ;D

Now that you mention it ... I'm digging through the German tour dates of Kiss in 1991 and 1993!!!

Interesting that this came out after Les Paul passed away...

Mike Batio.  There's a name I haven't heard in a while.  I actually talked to him, long before he was known, about joining my band as a second guitarist when we were looking.  At that time, he was just a geek kid working at Gary Gand Music in Highland Park.
