Of course not. You were trying to make a defective bass playable.

There's no excuse for this to be done with an aftermarket bridge on the EB-0L.

The Badass is offensive not because it's a Badass but because the top was gouged out for it. You can see that clearly in one of the auction pics.

That's what I meant ;D

I cannot believe how someone could do something as atrocious to an EB-0L, these basses deserve to be untouched or restored to their original look!  >:( :-\ :o :o :o

Regarding restoration to original look, choice of tasteful, not too garish refin is of course paramount, take advice from your local drag queen/style icon/model train enthusiast/Afrika Korps veteran on that:

Herr Moderator,

I had no idea I was such a profound influence on you and this extraordinary bass.................

I look at that bass and see one that's had some crappy things done to it, but I also see an otherwise beautiful Gibson just waiting for someone to lovingly help it back to some sort of glory (like Uwe's bullet riddled baby). I wish I were in the position to do so now, but I know that specimens like that will forever pop up now and then thanks to the 70's and 80's. I'll get my chance again someday.  :)

Mark, I distinctly remember that you were the one who suggested that orange/blue burst.

Maybe you were so surprised that he took you seriously that you forgot about it.  ;D

Who would have thought a sucessful German Litagotor would listen to a Drag Queen halfway around the world?   :o

At 1.23, Herr Hunter's risque lyrical variation is worth a listen!  ;) Never mind how Mick Ralphs is badly out of tune initially, he gets to grips with it during the song.

Hasn't anybody taught you how to use a bridge pup? One pup basses are like three-legged dogs. They can compensate.

Is anyone going to the Mott the Hoople reunion shows?  I'd love to be there but a trip to the UK is not in the cards for me right now.  Hopefully they'll make it to the States intact...  :P
