Fancy not being able to just use one pickup  :-\

Well I like the black scratchplate actually, but yeah John, some old chrome Tbird pups and a regular passive control layout would suit me MUCH better. Anyone know if this bridge is available in chrome?

I've got a pair of greatdealz tbird cases, just need something to go inside. Dimarzio G isn't it?

Thanks for the control description Uwe. Just goes to show you I know very little about new basses.

You need some chome Lull pickups for this.............. From me for tone.

Sorry. All these people talking the Queens English in funny foreign accents confused me.

It has a lot of sounds - most of which i'll never use - going from quite (but not really) deep  to utterly bright.

actually, i've just given it a better workout. My amp was set up all wrong before (my 2 year old son) and I didn't see the bass on 0 treble on 10. With my newfound knowledge of balance added in too...

what a great bass! Plenty more bassiness now. I think i'll leave pickups as is. I love it!

Gore blimey, Jules, Queen's English...? your 'avin' a larf...! oh, by-the-way, the tea's brewing...  ;)

Englishmen to Uwe... Wotch it mate or me an' the boys may sneak in in the middle of the night an' strip all your knobs orf all them precious Gibbo's...!  resounding chorus of "Two World Wars an' one World Cup, do-dah... do-dah... ":o

How crass... All I can say is that I have never considered myself a Brit, let alone English... just an accident of birth, me being near London; that's my story an' I'm stickin' to it...

Aye well... family hailing from a Scottish demi-Island off shore from an island (yes, it does explain it, being partially sheep) I minimised the confussion in mine by stripping out the lot, too...

BTW, the English have been copulating my ancestors for generations, which is why so much of my family is in Canada, USA, Australia, New-Zealand... ;)

psst... Jules... off with the pick-guard...  ;D

Rising to the defencse  (Editor's Note: darn Limeys can't even spell right ...) (Author's Note: I see what you've done now, I thought the crossed through C was a Euro sign. Anyway, you can't park those tanks 'ere, mate.) of my countryman, if a bass has more than 2 knobs they should be clearly labeled. Preferably in a 26 point font, so those of us at a certain age can read them.

Wot's an aktive cirkit, boss...? (sorry Phil, I get confused with 2...  2's 1 too many...  ;)) - pic from our Saturday gig - trend-setting, as usual...  ;D

Yes, a Brit wouldn't want to be caught setting someone off balance by twiddling knobs.

OTOH, we Yanks are well known for our fixation on knobs.

Lol - the Pros delivered to Ze Reich are jinxed, jawohl! After the pup issue of the Ver, all three IVers (in all three fins) suffer from necks so stiff that even with the trussrod fully released, and the bridge up high, the strings have unbearably low action, so back to the distributor they went, my dealer in a rage, saying "I'm not gonna make these sellable to some green kid, by sticking 110s or 120s strings on them to make them barely playable." I didn't even see them. It's not a strange phenomenon to me with multi-ply maple and some other even harder wood necks - I call it the "Wal syndrome". My Wal doesn't need a trussrod either, just D'Addario strings with a lot of pull!

Well, better too stiff necks than the other way around I say. All good things come to those who wait.

Does your bass neck suffer from priapism? D'addario 120 to the rescue!

Be sure to call your doctor if the stiffness lasts more than four hours.

A lot of people would be happy with a fraction of that...

I once remeber being stiff for days... chiropractor sorted that...  ;D

Hmmmm...a groundbreaking idea, the Priapus bass.

The headstock design may best be left to the reader's imagination.
