Absolutely love Chaka Khan from my soul band days. The clip you posted didn't grab me the same way, but she still has the voice and the moves.

Bobby Watson is a killer bass player.  He played on MJ's Rock With You too.  If you like 70's Funk bands you should check out:

Instant Funk
T Connection
Mass Production
Commodores
Slave

I played along with a lot of these records back in the day and they really helped developed my ear.

My idea of great 70's Funk bands looks more like this.

Parliament
Funkadelic
Bootsy Collins and George Clinton in any band at all.
War
Sly and the family Stone
Curtis Mayfield
Some Earth Wind and Fire

I always remembered that she was more "built for comfort, and not for speed"...  ;)

My favorite funky horn band for awhile was All Mighty Senators from Baltimore.  They seem to be touring less since Landis Expandis had some health issues. You guys prolly alreay know Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings (w/ Bosco Mann on bass) do a great job carrying the torch.

I just love classic funk. Like 1968-1972. Pre-slap

All of those listed above plus JBs, Cymande, Mandrill and so many anonymous bands that did one or two tracks with fantastic basslines. A lot of your best music was ignored at home, but got rediscovered here by British DJs.

But the band I like best is Parliament/Funkadelic
Check this. Billy Nelson with an Ampeg Scroll bass. It is as much rock as funk. I reckon George Clinton is tripping.

George Clinton comes through here about once a year...haven't seen him yet, though.
