Dimarzio Model G in a '76 Tbird cover

Posted in another thread about location for a Dimarzio Model G but I thought it deserves a thread of it's own. This worked out great, super easy. The Model G has two screw tabs I just screwed the pickup to the base of the pup cavity and put the cover right over it works great no need for adjustment as the pup sits about as high up as it could go without hitting the strings. The only give away is the center adjustment hole on the '76 cover. Before After

I really like Badass bridges, I know there are those who hate them with a passion. Leo Quan was my inspiration for the Badbird. I suppose I could put a hipshot on it or even one of my bridges (that would take a refin and I'm not ready to go down that road with this bass, I use it to much). So the Badass stays !

I love those Badass 1 bridges too. I've got a new spare one sitting here just itching to go on a new bass but I cant decide what I want to get to put it on

I took mine off the Peter cook to put the original hardware back, previously tried it on the RD, too...

I liked it on the PC but I wanted to put her back to a bit of her former glory... I honestly don't notice any difference... just me, I guess...

I guess it is better to stuff your Model G in the covers versus on top of them.

nope just put the cover right over the Model G. I was going to pot it but who knows where that stuff is after the move, I went to get it and could not find it for the life of me. Maddening I can see where it used to be at the old house.

I would think just to secure them in the covers.

Its a night & day difference with the chrome covers. So much better looking.

Potting would secure, and eliminate the possibility of any possible "buzzing" or unwanted sound...
