They have some pretty cool looking basses over at Muse Inc

I wonder if they're any good.
And what price they retail for.

Looks to me like a wholesaler from Korea. There's a quotation form that looks like it's for businesses only.

I did some googling and I found out the brand is called Alden. It's a collaboration between an English guy called Entwistle and a Korean/Chinese factory.

I found this bass from the same brand on a Norwegian website (www.intersalg.no)

That "double toaster" pickup looks rather interesting!

I'll have to say that is pretty cool looking. Nice combination of fetures and design. Wonder how it sounds and the actual body dimensions.
Yairi in Japan has had several really cool looking basses that had an upright if not slightly too trbly egdy sound but the body dimensions were slightly comical(huge).

Alden have been on eBay for a while. Certainly cheap, especially as they're selling from Germany.

Some of those look really nice and the prices are reasonable. Wonder if they sound as good as they look.

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Ilike the combination of styles on these

That F-holed Rickenbass looks really interesting :o

Wonder if that Telecaster is a neckdiver?
And it might be the picture, but to me it looks like the polepieces of the mudbucker don't line up to the string spacing

Stone me, but they all look like bad lawsuit era rip-offs to me. Welcome to the Ho thread!

I don't agree Uwe. They don't look like copies at all. They merge different styles into one.

I've never seen a bass with a Telecaster guitar body and Gibson EB2 or EB 3 pickup configuration.
Or a semi acoustic bass with a Rickenbacker-ish body and Wal-like headstock with active humbucking pickups.

That Palladium bass looks unique buy itself. I can't see what lawsuit copy that would be?

I gotta agree with Rob, they do look kinda Franken-bass rather than clones.

They are doing something different while still basing it on traditional designs. It doesn't always work but at least they're trying.

uwe

Yes, they do mix styles.  :bored:
