Yamaha Nippon Gakki
« on: July 14, 2009, 05:19:27 AM »
I've been watching this, and may make a bid on it.  It's close enough that I can pick it up cheaper than getting it shipped.  If it comes in under $100, it might be worth it.  I know that they did a RI on this model a few years ago (nothing spectacular, but it looks cool), but didn't realize it was an RI at the time.

Those are totally cool. The bassist from a surf band out of Japan called The Surfcoasters plays one.
"I think it's only proper that I play until the last note of a set, then fall over and die. The band won't have to play an encore and they'll still get paid for the gig" (Dr. John)

I used to have one. A sunburst '67 too. Quite a nice bass and I like the pick up balance control. But I sold it when I used some money for somethinbg else. I believe I bought and sold it for around 250 euros.
