Currently $599 and reserve not met. That wouldn't sell for more than $600 around here.

Still not much desired and for just reasons. Those basses are lackluster amd lovelessly made, totally subpar the potential of what a Gibson Explorer could and should be.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

I think Hamer had the right idea with their Blitz series of basses.  I always liked the one with the flame top and 2 Dimarzio XN2 pickups.

Last saw them as a bunch of spotty kids, supporting Sammy Hagar...  ;D

That song, followed by Switch 625, played at as loud a volume as your system (or neighbours... naw, sod the neighbours...) can tolerate...  8)

Saw Phil Coleen a few time with Girl... took a good set of pics of them at the Marquee, way backs...

Saw Def a number of times during NWOBHM (bought the 2nd issue of the 1st single, and the 1st Maiden single - same year IIRC) but never bothered to see them once they "made it"... stopped getting there stuff around "Photograph" era...
