Just posting some live Thunderbird content for your enjoyment, as seen backing St. Vincent (a.k.a Annie Clark)

Pretty off the wall for the Letterman show. Interesting, not sure yet whether I really like it, but it's something different.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Yeah - very off the wall.  Kinda drew me in, though

Some of her solo stuff is intriguing too:

I was already intrigued by her album cover, but this sounds... well... different. I'll listen to it again and I'll come back with my opinion.

Barklessdog

Interesting in the Kate Bush / Laurie Anderson vein with a touch of prog art rock

i like this stuff. much more interesting than the tired bass, guitar, drum combo platter.

clankenstein

thanks for those i enjoyed them
Louder bass!.

Bass VI

I think I like her better without the band.
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to feel you deep in my heart
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to never feel the breaking apart
All my pictures of you

Strangely interesting. Not something I thought I'd like. Almost turned it off very early , but it drew me in. Not my style, not my thing......but I enjoyed it ;D

I downloaded some of her songs. Nice stuff- odd, but still accessible.

Listening to it further, her music sounds very Gizmotron like, much like later 10CC or Lol Creme & Kevin Godley. Definately an influence here, to me.
