I think a IV would be a no-brainer, he has all the parts , why not?

Haha Staffan, what I meant with the Entwistle remark is that lots of people want an instrument just like their favorite artist.
So if Entwistle would've done that to an EB0 I'm pretty sure there would be lots of bass players that would want one, yes.
It's not up to me to decide. But for BaCH it's only interesting if they can expect a demand for such a bass.
I'm afraid you may be one of very few on this planet who wants such a bass ;)
Leon Wilkeson got his Fenderbird from John Entwistle.

Hence the 5000 different Fender Signature models...

Now that's an interesting bit of trivia regarding that Fenderbird! I wonder who has it now.
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

Seems like I have to get a fan club going! I bet there's hundreds of thousands chicks and aspiring rock musicians who are ready for beefy 60+ guy with a beer habit! Do you think that could be possible, Doc?
Concerning a version of the -59 Eb0 this is as close as I've come. In the middle, sitting on my sofa, as Ray Davies put it so splendidly!

I voted Embassy. Makes sense since they already have the bridge and pickup.

Yes, but all the models in the poll feature that bridge and pickup(s)

True. But only one is distinct enough to be an Embassy.  8)

Since whatever the next model is won't be available left-handed, I dont guess I care what it is.

Embassy bass for sure. Great design like. Long scale EB, why? If it's for me everything short scale please! and lefthanded of course but I doubt they will make one lefty just for me (or two). De bachbird is hanging upside down and looks great that way!

Back in the Dudepit days a few guys at the Southpaw dept. were recruting for a lefty NR Tbird. If I'm not mistaken Rhythm n Bliss and Iome were involved.
If you get 20 lefty enthousiasts signed up, BaCH will be happy to make you guys a lefthanded NR Tbird (or any other model).

If they make a lefty model of one of these and I'm not in the poorhouse, I may sign up for one just to have it.  ;D

I voted Embassy but I'd be just as excited about a reverse TBII. Truth be told, I'll buy whatever Gibson inspired bass they do next if I have the money to do so. I love the idea of having our own little ho collection being almost custom built in the Czech Republic!

Well I was kind of reluctant to mention this given the general sensitivity around this particular brand/subject, but the "four-thousand-five" is a model that could also leverage that bridge, along with a readily available tailpiece (ala the Epi/Rogue/etc.. Hoffie clones):

Actually, there are quite a few similarities to the NR:

-vintage prices in the USD 4-10K-ish range, depending on condition
-the manufacturer has no appetite to revisit/reissue it (a moral gray area much like the NR; a clone would not compete with sales of a current model)
-other than one-offs, no one has ever built a decent replica
-looks great in videos  ;)
-I'm speculating there would be some demand for an alternative to the original

Anyways... just a thought.  Like Doc's project, it might be fun to take some liberties - get it in mahog, or with better pickup placement.  Much like the NR, I'd love a real one but I'll never be able to justify the current cost of admission.
