I may be able to do one for you.  It may take me a little while, but I've got a '64 that would do the job for you.

Remember that the early Newports had different pickguards.

Not my bass, but I had an old 1961 Newport Deluxe like this one is that I bought in a San Antonio Pawn Shop for $100 in 1995.  Mine had the black pickup cover on the front and a PAF sticker on the small humbucking pickup.  Had to sell it when my daughter was in a bad accident.

Hey ya,

You might try this evil-bayer also http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=370019639615 this is obviously for an Embassy, but he does a lot of other p/gs for vintage Gibsons and Epis, $23.95 plus shipping is pretty cheap for a 'guard. However it's .090 thickness isn't vintage correct .060 I think is right.
I probably shouldn't refer to this seller as an evil-bayer, I purchased a Kalamazoo KB 'guard from him a while back that was quite nice for a repro.
