What's wrong with Volvo?

3 liter turbo 6 cylinder engine, 285 hp, 245 km/h in the land of the "freie Autobahnen".  And the best part of it: 5x130 watt Dolby system + 1x200 watt 12" subwoofer for those earthshattering lows.

I like my Volvo. Thunderbird cases and Explorer cases fit in there too.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Yep, I had a 760 way back. One of the most comfortable cars  I've ever owned. Still regarded as a Grandpa mobile here at least.

I'd take that Volvo any day. I had an old boxy Volvo wagon back in the early 90's. I could fit my bass, head, and my Genz 2x15 in the back with no problems.

I like Grand Funk... is that the same thing...?

I get all of my gear in our Zafira...

Uwe... a Volvo...? not a Scania...?

Volvo!!! Now, that's downright mean! I would even go as far as calling it harrasment of senior citizens! (Sob! All I ever wanted was an MG A)

Highlander

Mr Big...! That's what I call a mid life crisis...! but a classic...  ;)

Kenny! It's the crisis that keeps me going. And there's no end to them! Even in this forum, this sheltered place, normal good folks keeps reminding me... sob... Like Keely Smith once put it, and did so most splendidly; Where can I turn to, if I can't turn to you....

Basvarken

I totaly dig oldtimer Volvos.
Floor and I had two oldtimers:
A classy 164 from 1968, like this one

I still think it's a gorgeous car. Burgundy with lots of chrome and leather burgundy interior.
It steered like a boat...

And a 142 like this one. Except we didn't have it for racing like the one in the pic. (in fact it was kinda slow...)

I agree concerning the Volvo 164. That's a really beautiful car. The other one I don't care about. The 164 I think was heavy influenced by the beautiful English cars of the era, the Jaguars, Rovers, Rolls, and so on. Alongside the American cars up to cirka 1970, those were the crown jewels. And of course the Lamborghini... and the Dynaphanard... and the Citroen DS 19... and some others. No to forgetsome of the Saab models... and... (fill in your own choise)

Freuds_Cat

Ahh yes I remember the heated seats in my 760. 40C outside and you realise someone knocked the seat heater switch. :-[ LOL

Now how did my thread about Norwood Fisher using a Five String Gibson live into a car discussion?

Basvarken

It got sucked into the black hole.

Okay Uwe/Mark; go ahead...

The song is actually Reggae, "Funky" doesn't always mean "Slapfest" and there's no slapping here.

You mean the Three Stooges is funk? Lotsa slapping going on. Why youuuu...
