Me as president. I'll like that. And Mark: You're still the one! You will be a prettier first lady than Michelle Obama! With you as first lady I guess every girl in the world will buy a Thunderbird! We'll make the world a better place together:)

"Vice", Condi's boots, American Haute Couture and such ...
« Reply #27 on: April 20, 2009, 07:28:14 AM »
That is too abstract for me  ???, IIRC then the Vice President with Bill Clinton was Albert Gore and the Vice President with Herr Obama is Joe (Biden, not the plumber). And Hillary is Secretary of State now which in any case is a more powerful position than Vice President (unless you're Dick Cheney and have your own concept of Vice Presidency). Whatever ...

I thought Ken's comment on Mark as "Vice" President was more a limey pun alluding to Mark's sinful alter ego Fräulein Rommel - "vice" as opposed to virtue or "vice" as in "Miami Vice". That said I could imagine Mark feeling quite comfortable in some of those spike heel, knee-lenghth boots Condi Rice used to impress with ... Secretary of State hand-me-downs ...

Finally, since the subject was raised: I think Michelle O. is purdy (not just in sleeveless dresses) and has a fashion sense that is refreshingly American/New Worldish - watch for the arrogant European now - without being in bad taste!  ;D Condi was well-dressed too, but - in line with her job I guess - had a more martial touch to her wardrobe.

And Michelle has a good taste in acoustic guitars too, she gave a Gibson to Carla when the Obamas were chez les Sarkozys.

I took Ken's "vice" comment the same way.

With you as first lady I guess every girl in the world will buy a Thunderbird! We'll make the world a better place together:)

I could totally support this. Then I can be there to scoop a few up when half of the Thunderbird owning population sells them off for being either a symbol of capitalistic greed and oppression or, (depending on what 'side' the new administration is perceived as being on) an evil Communist threat! I win either way!  ;D
