does anyone know where the "bunnies" and "colored eggs" come from ??

The hare is a pagan spring fertility symbol that was eventually associated with the religious holiday. Don't know about the eggs.

The eggs are a fertility symbol too.

Male rabbits and hares are reputed to have an incessant sex drive. That brings some bumping of the male rodents' testicles with it which eventually turn blue.

That at least explains one color.
