No Beck or Wilkenfeld fans here??  ??? I was thinking of inviting Tal here. lol

After the spanking the Duchess got over yonder, maybe I should just shut up & enjoy the crickets. :D

My DVD has been sent out...

Beck at the induction of Metallica into the Hall o' Fame Sat. nite:

YEAH!

Yep I love Beck and Tal. Recent concert here in Adelaide was good. She seems to push him which is kind of a cute dynamic to witness. Tal is a good Sydney gurl and a damn fine bassist.

Terr, stop whining about the Duchess.

I have ssen Beck in concert twice, one with Jennifer Batton & the last time with a woman blues singer. The girl blues singer only came out and sang on a couple of songs. beck seemed flat until she came out. I think he plays a lot better with a girl on stage and he knows it, thus always having one on stage.

Nice to see a young girl get some respect here, Freud's Cat.
Positive Vibrations are good, ask any Marley fan. ;)

I saw him back in the early 90's at the Hammersmith (then) Odeon. during the Guitar shop tour. That was bloody fantastic even without a bass player.

John was that girl blues singer Beth Hart?

....

Drop it.

No excuses about making jokes.

No getting around it by making snide remarks about somebody else getting respect.

Drop it. Completely.

Aye aye Cap'n!  (Benny Hill salute) :P

Jeff uses his thumb & fingers like a bassplayer!
Maybe he was a bassplayer in his last life.

Yeah that was her. Jeff was having a flat nite till she came on, then he came to life. Jeff stumbled through a lame version of "Scatter Brain" from Blow By Blow. He just could not hit all the notes continously on the difficult parts.

I was floored by Tal when I saw her perform with Beck at the '08 Cross Roads. My daughter asked if I knew of any good female bassists I told her to  you tube Tal.

I love her stuff. I know Rob is not impressed with her vibrato (swallowed a goat or somesuch  ;) )but similar to Geddy Lee's voice I have grown used to it. Kind of like Janis Joplins but more balls.

Freuds -cat      , i can't comment on Geddy lee,  he's a dude ,right ?    . ...... but sorry i have not heard any chick singer who can out do the fantastic    JANIS JOPLIN.
i know Beth Hart is a huge Janis fan, and she openly acknowledges the greatness of Janis ,and her influence on her.

i can dig where Jeff Beck is coming from , re- having a chick playing in the band ,  if they are  rockin, and gettin down , then it sure makes me feel  better and get into it even more ;D  .....  its a great turn on ... 8)

I thought it to be more of a Classical guitar/Country/banjo style. Johnny Winter plays the same way.
