Auction, not BIN. Really interesting, these early ones with the magnetized HS PU

Same as the original horseshoe pickups?

Yes. But the 7-screw gap tooth tailpiece isn't very 1963.

Interesting to see what it will sell for.

'87 4003SPC Tuxedo refin. Some would actually prefer this over an original yellowed Tux.

Same here. A yellowed Tux wouldn't appeal to me.

Wish i had kept my Desert Gold 4003, just for its looks. Neck was too big for me, though.

I was THIS CLOSE to buying a new DG 8 string from Pick of the Ricks back in 2001, but then found out my wife was pregnant and decided it was not a good time for an expensive new bass. 7 years later, I was rolling in cover band cash and bought the used '93 FG I have now. That one looks really nice. Kind of pricey, but looks like it sold.

1985 lefty V63 (FG?) on CL.

No good images, seems the poster can only get one photo to stick to the ad or something...and that photo is of the S/N, YK2067

https://racine.craigslist.org/msg/d/cincinnati-4-string-bass-guitar/7012247167.html

Not cheap, and supposedly sports a CS autograph(!). But an early, lefty V63, I think I never seen before, so cool one regardless

No brand name and $400 price in the header ?
make / manufacturer: dinkleacker?

Could be legit, but even if the ad is being trolled, that wouldn't prevent him from posting photos. I'm suspicious.

I agree, it definitely raises questions

Yep, questionable. I've seen both righty and lefty headstocks on lefty v63's, but never a downward-pointing TRC on a reverse headstock. No horseshoe magnets. Incorrect 1" neck pickup spacing. 7-screw tailpiece - also wrong, and the gap tooth looks off. Signs of body wing delamination. I don't know what to make of it.

Larger pics on Reverb.
