How do you know?

I've read it somewhere, can't remember where. Now you got me curious: do you have the numbers?

The red ones sure seemed to hang around longer. A local friend who moved here in 93 or 94 bought a new red 360 for $400 at a time when the street price of a 360 was about $900. It had been on display for a couple of years or more.

Not in my book. Maybe a comment by John Hall somewhere? Eventually, Red was discontinued, and Midnight Blue switched over the chrome/white trim in 1999. Midnight Blue was dropped recently after a 34 year run.

'00 Sea Green 4003. $3,726 BIN

Color Of The Year 2000. When was the last time you saw a Sea Green for sale?

Dave W

Whoa, nice one! And it's not listed by multiple dealers like so many from Japan, so the seller probably has it in his possession.

No idea how many were made, but I only saw a few back then.

Local kijiji sale , initial asking price is high ($4200 Cdn) but not a common bass .

That's really steep, IMO.  Probably, worth more like half that amount.

For $1,300 I'd break the keyboard hitting the BIN for that FG.

I managed to find a 4000 last year and was surprised by how much I liked it .
Great basses !

How 'bout a pic? Is it routed under the guard for a neck pickup?

amptech

Not too long ago I wanted to trade my trusty FG 4001 for a 4000, for no other reason than looks!
One pickup basses grow on me - and Rick's look so much better with one pickup..

76 Burgandyglo , no route . Lovely bass .
