Just a carcass (courtesy of your friendly neighborhood butcher, gibsondependable), but it's potentially cool so I'm posting it here.

2002 Desert Gold 4003S/8. $1,200 starting bid.

I wonder if the neck issue is as simple as the seller says, given what the original seller disclosed. Also, remember Uwe's neck problems with his 8-string, IIRC it was improved but it's never been right.

A very clean Shadow at Olivia's. $4,190 BIN price. Looks near mint. The serial number is ZI so Sep. '86, like mine.

Dave W

Already gone, "item is no longer available." Could have sold on Reverb or direct.

1986 JG/BT - the almost-Shadow. Even the same birth year as the Shadows.  $2,590 BIN

I have no idea why it has the 2-piece 1982 pickguard from the last of the hairpin truss rods adjusted at the pickup rout era. 1986 is the newer style compression rods. If the guard is non original, then there's at least one extra screw hole in the bass.

1992 2030GF Glenn Frey signature bass in Japan. $3,962 BIN + $195 shipping.

A little beat up, this bass was not a case queen.

There are 7 listings for the same bass from 4 different Japanese eBay sellers. Another one of those deals where if you BIN they will try to buy it from the brick-and-mortar merchant who actually has possession of the bass.

So that's how it works?

Yes. None of them has possession of the bass, which I think is still against eBay rules. It's for sale somewhere local at a lower price.

Sometimes the listing will have a disclaimer, e.g. the listing by far.east.man says "Could you contact us before buying items? We will check if we have it in stock."

While all the sellers have good feedback overall, check the the negative feedback. For instance, most of the negative feedback for far.east.man is due to selling an item he didn't have.

Just a 1997 Jetglo 4003 - fat horn era - with a Pickguardian replacement pg. But I really like this guard. What do you think?

2019 Jetglo Pearlstars, maple board. $2,790 BIN

One of their coolest limited run finishes.

I saw that yesterday on facebook. Definitely caught my eye. Not sure that I'd want one for myself, but I do like the pickguard. It's actually a '87. My '89 and '93 are fat horns.
