Terrible paint job on that, IMO. What's with the orange area between the pickups?  Why not just paint the whole body the same color.  Same with the headstock.  If that is supposed to be FG the sprayer was way heavy handed, again, IMO.

27 frets is fine, as Paul needed something to fill in the extra fingerboard area.  A fretless fingerboard would have been way cooler on this bass.

Lightshow sold for the BIN.

It's unusual, so I understand the appeal, but unless that replacement neck was built at the factory, it's really not a Rickenbacker.

Just a used 2016 4003S Jetglo, but I think it looks extra cool with the replacement black pickguard and TRC.

The naked tux should sell with no problem.

The 4003S does look cool but I don't understand the pricing. You can buy a new one for less than that if you know where to look.

Beautiful!

In the past year or two I've seen many basses and guitars on eBay from Japan at about twice the going value (or more). Must be collectors trying to recoup their investments from years ago, before the recession, when they paid inflated prices.
