I can only speak for myself, but the reason I'm here to hang out with old bass players being a youthful 57 I find it amusing.

From the stately viewpoint of 58, all I can say is...

Wait, what was the question? ..... ???
"A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila."

You old timers better not be farting dust all over this place. Don't expect a young 56 year old tadpole like me to come in here and clean up the mess ;)

This needs to go in a new thread called "Whats your physical age?" I feel like a pup around here at 45.

Physical age is 47 - just barely 47 thankyouverymuch! ;)

Still, it is my belief that the Metimucil Brigade might very well out number us "younger" under fifty types!  ;D :P :P

My goal is to live long enough to become a member of the "cane gang!"   :bored:  Falling asleep spontaneously, and not giving a damn about it, has some attraction to it too.
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

I've been walking with a cane for about 14 years now. Boy is it ever cool 8). All the guys who don't have one really envy me and the handicapped parking is great too. Man ....I've got it made ;)

Yeah and prepare your kids for the "be kind to Dad now cuz you may be changin my diapers in  the future if I have to live with you " speech.
I still need a job but man ,I could get used to just me and the dogs hangin ,cookin , vacume and oh yeah... buildin shit!!!!

I too used to follow several other forums. This one rocks!!I look at the Guild one once in a while & of course the Vintage guitar & Bass forum. This one is great IMHO.. The info   on repair/tech, historical ,music even& skirts(lol, deal with it!) is great. The members I have dealt with are helpful ,honest & a funny bunch of bastards all with the similar passions.

Oh yeah you young bucks got the best to look foreword too........damn Ive fallen & cant get up..........my cane is across the room.......

It takes a very deep-rooted opinion to survive unexpressed

Funny you should mention this!  I tell my 19 year old, only, daughter that it is my goal in life to live long enough that she has to change my diapers!

I was thinking about the merits of this forum and came to the conclusion that I cant think of anywhere else where I would find a bunch if bass players who like very similar bands to me. Sounds weird but bands like UFO, Slade, Foghat etc etc are not bands that pop up next to the usual Led Zep, Cream, Hendrix list that most forums of this type list.  Maybe its just me but thats how it appears.
