Well almost  ;D I have been wanting to get rid of the black TB plus pup by the bridge, I was thinking of putting a Lindy Fralin bassbucker in there but the pick up would require some modification. Then I thought of parring down the TB Plus to fit under a '76 chrome cover, not a bad idea someone else has done this. My final thought was to pull the TB plus (sell on ebay) and use the profits to buy a Mike Lull pup. In the mean time I have installed a '76 cover. Look'n good ! Mwahahahahaha

It's looking great Scott.

I gotta say Scott, I love that you made that bass your very own. Ze Butcherbird is a fitting Dasson model Thunderbird.

Thanks George ! I Use this bass a lot ! Most of my playing time is spent using the Butcherbird or the Model G powered NR Bird. I wouldn't advise evreyone to cut up their Birds but this works for me. Looks good onstage to ;)

Liar! You just buy basses because of the looks. And because some famous dude used them too. :rimshot:

Lots of work to get rid of that 3 point bridge, if I ever do a refine I will, I use this bass to much to take it out of service. Besides I like Badass bridges, they were the inspiration for mine.

Hey, it worked for me when I was younger.

Dennis Dunaway = my buying a black block Jazz Bass.
Martin Turner = my lust for a Thunderbird.  I couldn't afford one, and that's how I got the Embassy.
Jack Bruce = why I always like the EB-3
Felix Pappalardi = why I like the EB-1

After the initial years, though, I started buying/creating basses based on other things.  Silly things like feel and sound.
