Shirtwise you have adopted a rather somber look, Mark!

From Seattle's Pride weekend, Friday night was cold, I wore a coat onstage and played my cheapie, it dealt with the cold on/off rain very well

Saturday we played  out in the street (on Broadway, closed off) I used the Jackson as the weather had cleared up - there's a little video too.
It's not easy to make Seattle folks dance so I consider this an accomplishment!

Sunday at Seattle Center ('62 World's Fair!) at the Mural Amphitheater, biggest stage and PA I've ever gotten to play thru. The supplied backline amp was an Eden World Tour 800 and matching 4x10 cab - it was meh.............

At that point in the weekend I was definitely glad it was there Scott, the load in for the show was easy because it was before 30,000 peeps showed up, I drove my car to the side of the stage and pulled out a bass and clothes bag! I couldn't leave my car nearby and would have had to move my amp about 4 blocks  post show thru the crowd.........Nope!
I didn't care for the WT800, but I figured by the time the sound came out that big PA it probably didn't matter as much as I thought. Several friends showed up including a couple fellow bassists - I asked them about how I sounded and they all thought it was good so......Still, I'm with ya, I prefer my own rig, if we play the event next year I may bring it.

Horses for courses - sometimes something somber fits the gig. On those occasions, I can accessorise with a sexy looking bass instead.
Cheers

Nice Al!

I played one of those Gretsch(s) at Seattle GTG once, very cool bass!

Unfortunately at our gig a couple of weeks ago, everybody thought that everyone else would take photos...we got bupkis for photos at that event.

Nice B&W my buddy took at a recent Sir Army Suit gig. I'm using my 2003 LP in tobacco burst.

chromium

Cool pics and basses!  Love that Les Paul.

Here's a pic from a recent gig with the Hamer...

I love that bass.  Had to sacrifice an old Leslie and Precision Bass to afford it.. but I'm thankful I took the plunge.  I've really gelled with that one.
