Well with NAMM happening it was just a matter of time before Fender would Launch new basses as well.

First of all there's the "instant-MOJO" roadworn P-bass and Jazz bass.

Then there's Fender's big "Welcome home" bass, the Steve Bailey signature Jazz bass which actually looks a LOT like his Aria Signature bass rather than the Fender Heartfield DR Basses that Bailey used to play.

The basses come in both fretless and Fretted versions

Finally, Iron Maiden bass player Steve Harris gets a signature model.

How is it different from the old MIJ Steve Harris signature from about 1998-2002?

See for yourself.

That's right, the first one had a different pickguard, supposedly one of West Ham's colors. I wouldn't know anything about that.

The old Harris model was LPB and the new version is blue sparkle.

With both, you can only play galloping 16ths interspersed with pentatonic runs.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I've got an old buddy with an original 57 P that still looks like new and even has the original Fender polishing cloth with barely a smudge on it. He takes really good care of it and is very proud of it, as anyone would be.
I haven't talked with him in a few years but I think I know what his opinion of the "instant mojo" series would be ???
