My rig hasn't changed ina decade, but I did just build a new pedalboard (anticipating an influx of new pedals; got a stack of projects sitting on my bench).  The old one was getting crowded.

Looking at other DIY jobs around the net I saw a lot of cool stuff _ second half tiers and integrated patchbays.... the problem was it was all large, clunky and not very portable looking (I suppose if you're humping around a Marshall full stack, or 2 half stacks, what's the diff, right?).  So I had to come up with my own thing.  Also, just to make it harder, I wanted to not buy any new materials at all.  So that's why the hardware doesn't all match (the break-away hinges are actually off my very first pedalboard).  The wood is cedar that was reclaimed from the A/V loft at my old venue/studio (and in turn was left over from my Dad's deck rebuild project).

Anyway, those pedals are spread out to take up the space a but, but I can scrunch in almost twice as many (I build them with the I/O on the top side).  Sorry about the mess in the studio.

Nice. What's in the Ampeg cab at left?

That's the original 1973 810 SVT cabinet.  The original owner (a band from Atlanta that briefly had a deal/toured but never did too much) spray painted the grill cloth black so it looks more modern than it should.  Sounds great though! ;D

Huh, maybe it's the perspective or something, I was somehow thinking it was too short to be an 810. Bet it sounds nice.
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

i'm from atlanta. what band are you talking about.

Yeah, I was backed in to a corner with my cell phone to take the picture so Im sure the perspective was a little "off".  Its an amazing amp, still has what appear to be original tubes (or could easily be older replacements).  Speakers have been reconed I think though.

The band was Fortnox.  They actually had some airplay on MTV in the early 80s and had one record I think? I thought i read once that a couple of them were still playing around ATL/Athens.

Cheapo head but the cabs are my DIY's. Never used them all at once but I could!

Typical stage layout

I'm intrigued what the tall stand is on stage right of the drumkit? they are electronic drums so not an overhead mic, but also too far away for a drummer to sing into
what is it?

Granny Gremlin

Cymbals look 'real' - my guess is mono overhead.

Also, welcome Govan, always nice to have a nother speaker DIYer in the house.  So tell me about those cabs; looks like 2 sealed on the wings but the vertical stack looks like maybe not just straight up bass reflex.  Love the snakeskin highlights (generally solid tolex job all around).

Thanks for the kind words Granny Gremlin!! Yeah, the brown cabs are also ported but I used flared tubes on those so the grill cloth covers them. The 3 bottom ones are 1x15's the top white one is 4x10 no hf drivers in these cabs but I am doing 2x10 cabs to go w/ the brown cabs that will have x-overs and horns.Ilike to mix it up w/ tolex, the back panels are always two-tone.The drivers are all Eminence,Legends. bp102-10"and the 15's are cb158's.
