I'm sure that in the last ten years we've all gotten used to seeing Music videos on TV that made us go "Ugh" with what was depicted. But let's talk about the animated Musicvideos that really got us shivering with what it showed, both in good and bad ways.

Les Rythmes Digitales - "Sometimes"

How this one was concieved is a mistery but this mournful song which was sung by eighties superstar Nik Kershaw has a video about a Teddy bear commiting suicide.

Daft Punk - "Something about us"

A dying man seeing the woman he loves for the very last time. The music really adds to this scene.

Rocker949

I'm not familiar with any of those animated videos.  But speaking of Nik Kersnhaw, I felt his "Wouldn't It Be Good?' video was one of the most eerie of the 80s.

One that I recall seeing that struck me was this video for Boards of Canada - An Eagle in your Mind:

I'm not very familiar with anime, but apparently the footage in this is from a short film called "Nekojiru-So" ("cat soup")

Powerful imagery, and I thought they did a nice job with the editing.

Barklessdog

Semi animated but disturbing just the same

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum

Not exactly a music video, but hey, it's animated and it has music.  :)
