Album as an "ode" to the firebird guitar
« on: November 25, 2008, 05:15:51 AM »

My first exposure to thunderbirds/firebirds are from Phil Manzannera & Roxy Music. His Gold & Cardinal Red Firebird looked so cool to me way back when. I always wanted a bass version of that guitar.

Anyway, it seems Phil has released an LP dedicated to that very guitar titled "Firebird VII"

Just Downloaded it.

Well, both FBird and TBird were in 1963 initially slated as instruments for the experienced Jazz-style player. Full circle I guess.
