The store where my daughter takes lessons is clearing out their NOS Allen Woody sig model for $200 if anyone is interested. I saw it tonite and he claims that the only thing wrong with it is that it's been there for a year and it must go. If you're interested give McKnight guitars a call @ 480-782-9600. I don't think they open before 10 am AZ time and they don't always make it to the phone before it stops ringing. So if you want it, try early & often. I've bought from them before (my LP Standard bass) & would do so again if they have what I'm after.

i have no connection to the sale of the bass, just trying to pass along a good deal to other Gibson fans.

Danm!  I really like mine, enough to buy a 2nd one at that price...oh the tyranny of distance  ???

Thanks for the heads up!  I'm going to give a call tomorrow.  Did they mention being willing to ship?

Nocturnal

He didn't mention shipping, but then I didn't ask. They sell all the time on Ebay so I assume shipping wouldn't be an issue, just a little extra cost. If it is an issue let me know. we can work something out.

Nice little bass, lovingly executed. A notch above other Epi basses in that respect though I can't imagine them selling a lot of these over the years.

The Woody will soon be living a new life in Minnesota.

Thanks again for the heads up!

congrats!

These basses are really cheap and I guess you get a lot a bang for the buck (is that good english?) like with all Epiphone basses.

I am very curious how this bass sounds...any soundsamples will be more than welcome.

Glad you got it ! I would have sprung for it but $ are tight right now ! Outstanding bass for the bucks, 200 is a steal !

Good deal. Even a used one ought to be worth about twice that.

rockinrayduke

Good for you, a hell of a price for a great bass.

I know this isn't nearly as cool at the Bachbird, but I'm very pleased with the Allen Woody bass!  I need to do a fret level and a good setup and then I can post some soundclips if anyone is interested.  I have a feeling that this one may be replacing my EB2 as my go to bass.

Dave W

Please do post sound clips when you're ready. I'm always interested in good short scale sound. I did get to play one once, briefly, in a store without a decent bass amp at the time. So I'd like to hear more.

The Bachbird is news because it's finally here due to Rob's persistence, and no one else makes a NR Bird. Naturally the buyers are excited. But not to the exclusion of other basses.
