Uwe's reply for the sake of scientific and other truth: True (with a few carefully guarded exceptions). It has different pups! A toggle switch, a Schaller roller bridge and is a Dr Bill's Cüstöm Shöppe work!!!!

Herr Doktor, der Bass ist gelandet. Impeccable action and a wonderful piece of work, my compliments. The Fralin Bassbuckers remind me of the sound of those customized to single coil TB Plus pups in my 96 M'shell Ndgecello one off LP DeLuxe - they have that clarity and transparence (without sounding sterile), not the allout grunt (at the sacrifice of clarity) of TB Plus pups and not that overbred hifi sound of the Bartolini pups either.

What kind of strings are those halfrounds you have on there? To me, most halfrounds (D'Addario, Rotos) feel yucky (I prefer either rounds or flats in feel if not in sound), but this set doesn't.

You got it already!?!?! Wow, the Deutsche Post is to be envied! I'm so glad you like it. It really is a great sounding/playing bass. I just couldn't warm up to the thicker neck. I am so used to the TBs and the Jet, I guess the LP bass I'll feel comfortable with is my Triumph.

Those are great pups, aren't they? I'll use them again. The strings are the SIT Bass Silencers. They are quite different and I'm liking them. Especially because they sound good and only cost around $20 if my memory is correct.

SIT Silencers are compressed rounds, not halfrounds. I used them once on a Rick I've since sold and I liked them. Not the usual halfround feel or sound.
