That trial was a prime example how one lying witness you carelessly nominated can lethally contaminate your case no matter how good it objectively seemed. Once no one believes you, it doesn't matter anymore if you're telling the truth. Cochran did a stellar job tripping up the prosecution.

I think the news of his death landed with a thud. No outpourings of anything except re-caps of his murder trial and later criminal conviction for the Las Vegas inciudent.
