These used to be one of the budget friendly Gibson basses on the used market.  I have seen them go anywhere from like $500 to almost $2k which is wild.
How things have changed. I aways think of these as the back to the future basses from the band tryout scene. I unfortunately haven't played one of these to comment on how they sound. I would assume quasi p-bassish due to the bolt on and pickup config.

Cool bass and a bonus if you are UK based where the bass is located.
If you are seriously thinking about buying it and they already dropped the price down a lot I would drop a offer and start negotiating from there.

Biggest downside to these I've heard is that they're extremely heavy.

I'm amused that they state it is second hand in the advert title.

The guitarist in my band had one early on and he said it getting stolen was one of the best things that ever happened to him.  I think it's in reference to its weight.  Otherwise, he loved it.

Good looking example. They're notoriously heavy but reasonably well balanced. Price is at the upper limit of what you would expect to pay here, but might be reasonable for the UK.

I guess it's the same as in Holland. We use second had as a synonym for used, no matter how many previous owners something's got. Of course we live in an age in which we need things to sound better then they are, so goods aren't used or second had anymore, but pre-owned or experienced. I guess Mr. Hendrix will have some questions about that.

I liked the days when “used” or “pre-owned” would mean considerably cheaper.

I have the exact bass. I bought it earlier this year for somewhere between 500-600 with ohsc. Its heavy for sure, the tone is polite and articulate, I particularly like the neck.

If the weight isn't an issue for you, it's a fine bass. Like a P-Bass with more sublow oomph.
