That comes across as gaudy.  I don't know anyone who would play that.

I would! I really like it. Less attached baggage than the Confederate Battle Flag too.

If you already have every Gibson bass in existence, it might be okay to play.  No one else falls into that category.  But I think very few Americans would play something like that.  Very few.

Basvarken

Looks like something Evel Knievil would jump over.

At least Evel would be less likely to break bones with the bass, I guess.

Yeah, it has that Evel Knievil, Electric Horseman, gogo boots in a topless bar vibe to it, but I think that was tongue-in-cheek intentional. It's so garish, it's great, so life-affirming! And, liebe Amerikaner, if I may say this, while your prevailing National Anthem will always remain an acquired taste for me, your flag is one of the most beautiful in the world, good choice! A younger self of me would have broken his "no collecting for fins"-vow for it and I'd be playing The Stars And Stripes Forever all day with it.

Oh, absolutely tongue-in-cheek.  They called it "Let Freedom Bling."  Not sure who's gonna buy that, though.

Whoever plays bass with Lynyrd Skynyrd! Or Mel Schacher when they do We're An American Band - hoohoo!.

But judging from you guys somewhat reticent reaction, they should have better called it Let Freedom Bling Gross8) I still love it. My stage name would be ...

with it.
