Wait until you learn about my recent interest - 80s hair metal basses. Like this one

Or - keeping up with the half-and-haft theme you all seem to dislike - this one

Moment mal, ich habe no issues with hair metal shapes whatsoever! I'm a longstanding fan of Explorers, Fying Vs, Icemans, Burns Flytes, Kramer Flying Brooms, Gene Simmons Axes, Silly Purple Clown Basses, what have you - those mock Explorers are both nice in fact.

Also no issues with the yin-yang b/w color scheme, HOLY SCHENKER !!!, countrymen of mine invented it! Here I am, rock you like a yin & yang!

W
And since we're deutsch, machen wir es richtig & konsequent! Wot eeze wrong wiff anozzer sin, ja?

Like many things German, dig a little deeper and some of the historical connotations of that particular color scheme are unfortunate.

NR Camden Grape Satin, 4 days now, no takers.

It seems that Gibson have not made up their mind about the controls/jack layout on this model.

$2K for a satin finish? No wonder there are no takers yet.

But it's a one-off. That has to be worth something.

In my opinion this is the first ModShop creation that looks really good. No hodge-podge pickguard and a lovely finish. The white speed knobs are a nice touch. Controls lay-out is the only correct one.

Yeah but it's called a Grape!
When the finish begins to check will it be known as Raisin?

Those oversize knobs look silly and have no place on a replica of a 60ies Bird.

Now I'm traditional for once.

With you, it actually doesn't wander at all, it always stays put in one place!

They’re not oversized. They are regular size speed knobs.

Well it's gone now,  I dig it. I've always wanted a plum crazy Thunderbird.
