This vid is a piece of art, wow!

Probably cost as much as the production of all Beatles albums too.

"Zeit" translates as "time", even if you don't speak German, you'll get the gist of the vid.

It's also nice to see Rammstein broaden their musical horizons a bit, not just the usual Tiger tank riffage that made them famous.

Deutschland, their bitter and twisted homage to Germany, had been similarly visually ambitious about two years ago, the vivid concentration camp hanging scenes caused a real ruckus in Germany at the time.

That reminds me of going to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and having no clue whatsoever about what was going on. Same effect this time.

Figures, you probably went to see it sober.

He saw the "Man in the High Castle" alternative universion of 2001.

No plastic wrap? No glass tables? These are the usually the hallmarks of fine German cinema.
At first I thought I was watching yet another Das Boot sequel...

I saw the new Rammstein video today and I thought: Till Lindemann has had a few singing lessons too many. All of a sudden he's singing pretty instead of the überDeutsch rolling R teutonic voice. Which -for me- was the charm of Rammstein.
TanzMetal with harsh lyrics. Brilliant. But now Rammstein sounds like a broadway musical.
The video is very pretty/artistic. But the music doesn't  move me at all.
Too bad. I used to love what they did.

Heard this on the radio while driving into work this morning. Catchy tune.

And here's another brilliant video and song.
This is Rammstein optima forma (as far as I'm concerned)

Oh my, that's brilliant indeed.

I love how they have sculptured Rammstein bassist Oliver Riedel:

as a replica of Harald Glööckler (a German white trash "fashion designer" and reality TV person):

As for the music: Once again palpable evidence how much Rammstein owe to Judas Priest/Accept riff culture.

And these guys here of course:

Interesting. To me it is nice that they've broaden the horizon musically and Lindemann even actually singing instead of just grunting out the lyrics. I don't mean I dislike the grunt, just that I like the versatility.

Rammstein does it again. Yet another brilliant one.

Can't wait to go to Tirol in the summer...

Ouch, I can't believe they made a song just about that.  :-[ :-[ :-[ By now they should be done with most body parts. An organic song cycle, no less.

"Dicke Titten" - now everyone here has learned the German phrase of the day.  :-X I'm not sure deutsches Kulturgut gets a complete and balanced depiction here.

When Rammstein first started getting noticed in the states many years ago, I wrote them off as KMFDM lite, but now I realize they are totally their own thing. Not really MY thing, but they are talented and entertaining. And who doesn't like Dicke Titten?  ;D

MTMW (more than a mouthful is a waste).
