On my fav site you can choose from several "skins"--like black background with white lettering- which is REALLY easy on the eyes.
This site is like stepping into bright sunlight after bein' up all night.
Can we get some skins to choose from, please?
Thanks

a couple of forums I visit are the simple machines software and they all have the same color scheme, so that might be the only one available.  I'm sure Dave will know the definitive answer.

Right now the options are very limited. If you go to the Look and Layout Preferences in your Profile, you can change from the default theme, but the three other options you'll be given don't look much different from the default. There are some other themes available that I could upload and make user-optional, but using them would disable some addons (like being able to show YouTube videos) that only work with the default set.

When SMF 2.0 is releaseed (it's in beta now) I may be able to offer more choices without losing functions. We'll just have to wait and see.

You know...the embedded youtube vids ain't that great anyway. Last ones I posted didn't even work.
I prefer to just clink on the link to them so you can watch 'em big or push 'em aside & go to other threads here.
Whatever. If it was too comfy here I might wear out my welcome. heh

If the YouTube videos don't work it's almost always because embedding was disabled by the person who posted it on YouTube. Anyway, it's very popular so I'm not going to disable the feature. Besides, it's not the only addon that would be affected.

I just enabled Go Up and Go Down buttons (they weren't enabled by default). Is that what you mean?

Dang, it took me three minutes to find them.  Never would have noticed them if you hadn't commented.
