NR Thunderbird through a Acoustic 360
« on: April 02, 2021, 01:20:20 PM »
A real quick video of my recently acquired Acoustic 360 with my beat '66 Thunderbird.  Little correction, I mention that I had a 360 I meant to say 370. I see why Jim Lea and Martin Turner used them.

Wow, love it.

Now I really wanna track down the Sunn 1x18 with the CV 18 to match my 1200s.  Sunn and Accoustic were actually doing very similar things with cab design in the 70s as well as being somewhat unique in insisting on higher end drive units.

But, before you crown the king of the big amps, you gotta try a Traynor Monobloc ;P

All good fun! I have two Sunn 1x18 cabs in the pile. One ported the other folded horn. I have a CV 18 which cab to put it in? Decisions, decisions.

Dude I want that Sunn reflex horn so bad.  They never show up in Canada.

Ooooh great tone.
The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

I'd love to try one head to head with the 2000s rig. Still haven't found a full match for that rig (although the Hiwatt is pretty much on par), but these Acoustics do sound huge, gotta give one a go some day!

+$300 shipping though, LOL.

If it wasn't for that (and the border closure) I'd be so into it.

ACC 360 Intestinal rearrangement device.

Oh and on the subject of Traynors ... one complaint I've seen from ppl regarding the YBA200, is they are too bright. Had mine connected to a Trace 215 this week and my guitarist requested I wind back the low end.
