Thanks for writing!!  Unfortunately, in the condition ( ??? ??? :o :o :-\ i cannot copy the entire email so i am putting these faces in here to modify the original text and not infringe on any copyrights crap from Gibson!!!) that that bass is in, we cannot verify that it is indeed a genuine Gibson.

The seller states 16 1/2" from the nut to the middle of the two dots.  Either he really doesn't know much about guitars, or he knows how to answer a loaded question.
