2019 Roadworn Jazz Bass
« on: January 16, 2021, 03:27:40 PM »
No I'm not lost ;) I bought this late last year on a whim and am very impressed with it. Here are my thoughts on the Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass.

From last Friday's TSR The Songs Remain show. Roadworn Jazz through my Orange Terror Bass rig.  Im really really happy with the way this combo sounds.

I have owned some really nice vintage Jazz Basses, including pre-CBS, and have played many more. The best Fender Jazz Bass I have ever played happened to be a brand new MIM Road Worn Fiesta Red in a local music store, years ago. I'm such a stupid gear snob that I did not buy it on the spot, and I regret it ever since.

Scott, you gotta stop posting clips playing that thing or I'm gonna end up buying one!

It sounds good like a J should but I would never buy anything artificially aged.

Dave I have pretty much felt the same about "reliced" instruments. It was hard for me to argue with the RW,  I plugged it in and there was the tone. Definitely a tool for the Zeppelin tribute but I find myself loving it despite what it is abd my USA vintage bias.
