That's sad; maybe even more so for those who remember when Paulina first appeared on the scene.
It's not those who write the laws that have the greatest impact on society.  It's those who write the songs.

I don't know how alert and lucid he still was - people with a long history of disease can get petty and mean as well as defy reality. Paulina might have also already had a fair divorce agreement with him, all that we don't know. But I'm not sure that a 28 year marriage among two showbiz people that spawns two children and has - while divorce proceedings are already going on - the one spouse still bring coffee to the other on a Sunday (i.e. she was either still living with him or had keys to wherever he lived) qualifies as "abandonment". Paulina probably doesn't qualify as "poor" in any material way, but why Ric saw the need to spit the mother of his children in her face in his will of all places ...  :-\

Legal advice: Don't write nasty things in your will, it tends to backfire. My dad was estranged from both my brothers when he died (I'd say that was about 80% his fault and only 20% theirs), he resisted temptation cutting either one of them out of his will - to my relief (I would have split the estate with them anyway, but it was a relief that he avoided that last insult/injury).

And after a 28-year-marriage with two kids you should be able to muster the decency of separating in way where you can both still look each other in the eye and remember the good times you had. And take or bring a coffee with a smile.

All this is probably tainted by the fact that I thought that Paulina was très hot, but to my defense I really like(d) The Cars and Ric's nerd-intellectual appeal too. I just find nasty separations uncomfortable and expect people to do better.

I felt the same way.  Paulina looked hot and I genuinely like the Cars.  Quite a unique band.

"I've known about the will since the day after Ric passed," Porizkova wrote in an Instagram post. "All you have heard from me since – is in spite of that." She added the hashtag "#loveneverdies".

She's handling it with class. She's not poor anyway.

True on both counts.

You have no idea how many wealthy people lack any class all the same.  :-\

This is an unpolitical statement of course.
