I had this bass put together last spring and it turned out pretty good. A Mexican Fender '51 neck, Gotoh tuners, body from boobooguitars.co.uk, Retrovibe bridge, chinabuckers and a vol-tone- 3-way-PU -selector switch.

Yeah, sounds great. I like the pick tone best. Looks super cool too. I always liked that style of pickguard. I remember Robin guitars used them on a lot of models in the 80s. I had though about having one made for my Guild Pilot back in the day.
