Now, that is a true beauty! It's really hard to be beaten by any other piece. Nice, but maybe even too nice to take to a smoked-in pub with empty glasses for a hard rock gig. But maybe for a small saloon? With a spinet doing it's grooves?

I don't have issues with playing any of my basses anywhere. Dings, scratches, aged fins - it's all part of the circle of life, Simba.

I'd rather have the white TB-II from the '80s.

I got to touch it!

Resident T Bird playing Drag Queen www.thenastyhabits.com  "Impülsivê", the new lush fragrance as worn by the unbelievable Fräulein Rômmélle! Traces of black patent leather, Panzer grease, mahogany and model train oil mingle and combust to one sheer sensation ...

It would make some sense to make a bass like this top of the T bird line, as the top of the line Firebird guitar have gold hardware and block markers.

Of course, it would have to have three pickups :)

An excellent point. Love the looks of it myself.

It sounds great too, really warm and fuzzy tone with endless sustain. Korina has nice sonic characterics, non-descript looking as it is.

That blocked Thunderbird is beautiful.  I'd love to see one with trapezoids.  I suppose a Thunderbird that needed a new fretboard could have that done.
