Call Hoffman Guitars, they're the area Gibson warranty dealer. That's who took care of my defective SG Bass.

Not in the US, although most manufacturers don't require registration. One notable exception in the musical instruments business: Rickenbacker.

I attempted to cut together a demo video of my DC Jr showing various tones it can do...
with different techniques and settings.
I haven't tried making anything like this in a long time, it was fun!

I was terribly out of practice and am embarassed about my timing and mistakes, but it sounds good enough that I wanted to share anyway.

In all cases the volume is on 10; the tone is on 10 except a section toward the end, noted in the subtitles, where the tone is on zero.
These were all recorded through the DI on an old Edirol USB audio interface.
No amp, no mic, no EQ, no compression, no post-processing at all.

It's a mix of improvisation and various basslines that are fun to play around with, no attempt at accurately reproducing a recording.

I finished up with Mike Watt's "In the Engine Room" because I discovered this shorty can do a surprisingly good drop-D, and the tone (without coil tap) reminded me a bit of the T-bird II he used for that song. Certainly not as full with my primitive recording, and of course a very different instrument/pickup, but to me it was at least somewhat reminiscent.

I also favor the full humbucker sound. I think I could use the tap for some songs. Sad I won't get to try it in band context anytime soon. Practice cancelled until further notice. Damn virus

I mostly play pickstyle.  But I'm noticing this bass seems to get an above average sound with fingerstyle playing.  At least that's my impression.
